Prior to joining KING 5, she was a general assignment reporter at KTNV-TV in Las Vegas, and at KMPH-TV in Fresno, California.
Elisa has received several Emmy nominations and an Associated Press Award for her reporting. She has covered many high-profile local and national news stories, from the scene of the W.T.O. and Mardi Gras riots, all the way to Montreal where she reported on the arrest of convicted terrorist Ahmed Ressam.
Elisa was born in Korea but grew up mostly the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Communication from the University of California at Davis, and a Master's degree in Broadcast Communication Arts from San Francisco State University. She is the former Seattle chapter president and current member of the Asian American Journalists Association, and enjoys being active with the local Korean-American Community.
Elisa lives in Seattle, where you'll often see her running with her dog or spending her time with her husband and son.
