Mimi Jung anchors KING 5 News at Noon, a role she took on after several years co-anchoring the weekend news with Allen Schauffler. She joined KING 5 News in April 2000 as a general assignment reporter, coming from KTNV-TV in Las Vegas, Nev., where she was a morning anchor and general assignment reporter.
Prior to joining KTNV-TV, Jung was a reporter at WTVH-TV in Syracuse, N.Y. Aside from reporting, Jung assisted in producing weekend newscasts for WTVH-TV.
A native of Western Washington, Jung grew up in Puyallup, Wash., and graduated from Rogers High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University in New York. Jung is a member of the National Asian American Journalists Association.
When Mimi is not reporting a story, she enjoys jogging around Green Lake, and takes pleasure in playing the piano and violin.
