Anika Lehde, David Jones and Mike Kichline started Project Line over pizza and beer in Redmond. That casual beginning set the tone for the company's laid-back, people-first approach.

And now 5 years later, employees are so happy, sometimes it's hard to get them to go home!

Anytime a company puts their employees first and accommodates the creative side, it is going to be a win-win situation. This company is certainly note worthy.

I wish more companies would understand that by making the work environment fun and creative, your employees will LIKE their job. Employees are more dedicated and more productive. It is time to ditch the old quiet, stagnant, structured office which is unproductive.

For years I worked in an office that was set up to be a creative environment. This meant: board games, pool table, ping-pong table, beer fridge, open hours....etc. Anyway, now that I'm in a structured office - I realize. The more freedom you have the more work you're more likely to do, and the less time you spend complaining about how much you hate your job. Oof. If only ALL companies could embrace this. We'd be a much happier country.
