Parent to Parent: Postpartum thyroiditis going undiagnosed among many new moms

There's a condition for many new mothers that one local doctor says is going "vastly undiagnosed." It has to do with the thyroid. Julie Ogata from ParentMap explains.

I dealt with this problem in each of my pregnancies. Back then No one seemed to even think that something like this could happen, or cared. It took me the best part of about 20 years to figure out why my thyroid is so large. It is still considered to be in the range of normal, but I still don't think that my thyroid is functioning correctly.
