GAUHATI, India (AP) — A triple bombing in India's restive northeast has left five dead and 25 more wounded.
Authorities say bombers had parked two bicycles packed with explosives outside a police station. The bombs detonated, killing passers-by and wounding others.
A local police official says about five minutes later, a third blast went off a few miles away.
More than 10,000 people have died in separatist violence over the past decade in India's northeast. The region is home to dozens of separatist groups.
Assam's inspector general of police says authorities suspect the militant separatist group United Liberation Front of Asom is behind the blasts. No group has claimed responsibility.
