SEATTLE – Seattle Police have a vehicle that is getting quite a bit of attention, not because it’s new but because it’s old.
The 1970 Plymouth Satellite is a hit with the crowd when officers take it for a spin.
The car was wrecked 1971 when it had 9,000 miles on it, said Officer Jim Ritter.
“It was purchased by the city shop supervisor, who in turn restored it,” said Ritter.
The car is owned by the Seattle Metropolitan Police Museum, and many people and businesses have donated services to restore it.
