If you've ever wondered what the top of Japan's Mt. Fuji looks like, Google Maps can now show you.

Google sent a team equipped with cameras up Mt. Fuji to get a "Street View" of the summit. They're hoping it will assist climbers who plan to venture up Japan's highest peak.

"This year in particular with the mountain becoming a UNECO World Heritage Site, there's going to be a lot of climbers, and it'd be great if they were able to see the trail before they got here and were able to prepare for it, whether mentally or physically," said David Marx of Google Maps.

For those who can't face the climb, you can scale Mt. Fuji from your desk by searching "Mt. Fuji" on Google Maps. Here's a Street View look at the peak -- and be sure to explore around the summit.
