Seattle is the sixth best city for finding employment in the current economy, according to a study by the human resources firm Adecco Staffing U.S.

The firm compiled a list of the 10 best cities for job seekers based on employment data from the Department of Labor and internal data about job growth and demand. The ranking equally weighed a number of factors, such as the diversity of industries in the city, the range in size of companies offering employment and the cost of living.

Seattle was the only West Coast city on the list that included New York City, Phoenix and Columbus, Ohio.

Bethesda, Md., with a population of about 60,000 and an unemployment rate of 5.2 percent, topped the list.
