The skies over parts of Washington lit up with lightning late Friday night.

There's a high wildfire danger from through Sunday evening across much of the state.
Forecasters say the risk comes from dry lightning strikes as thunderstorms move across the state.
Because of dry conditions, the red flag warning area includes the western Cascades and Puget Sound area south into Oregon. The red flag warming also covers the southeast corner of Washington, eastern Oregon and parts of Idaho.
Forecasters say the summer pattern of morning clouds and afternoon sunshine will likely return next week.
