The Force is with this marketing stunt.

LEGO unveiled what it says is the world’s largest LEGO model last week in Times Square – a life-size replica of a Star Wars X-Wing fighter.

The replica consists of over 5.3 million lego bricks and took a team of 32 people over 17,000 hours to finish. It weighs over 45,000 pounds, is 11 feet tall and 43 feet long with a wingspan of 44 feet.

The unveiling is to promote “The Yoda Chronicles,” an animated, three episode series debuing this week on Cartoon Network.

The model will be moved for display at the LEGOLAND California Resort.
