An injured owl drew concerned crowds at Green Lake Wednesday morning.
The owl was in a tree along west Green Lake Way North. KING 5’s own Jean Enersen was there and saw the owl, and called Sarvey Wildlife Center to see if they could help.
Sarvey came out and got the owl and are now caring for it. They say the owl was blinded in one eye by a head injury, likely from a car strike. He was weak and emaciated, but his feathers were good.
They say they'll probably be able to restore the owl’s sight and send it back out into flight because owls work by hearing rather than seeing.
