Mike Atkinson dropped back into pass coverage, stepped in front of a throw by Brigham Young quarterback Riley Nelson and rumbled 36 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. BYU scored on a Taysom Hill 4 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, but an attempted two point conversion for the win failed.
