PUYALLUP -- People who never even knew the Powell boys, both of whom died in a fire apparently set by their father over the weekend, are visibly upset by the deadly twist in the terrible case.
R.J. Mock was so shaken by Sunday's explosion, he spent part of Monday holding a sign on Meridian Street in Puyallup that read, "Hug Your Children." The sign featured pictures of missing mother Susan Powell and her two young sons, Charlie and Braden.
"Hug your kids," Mock said. "Love them, especially today."
Mock wasn't alone in his sentiments; listeners to KIRO News Radio called in all day to express their condolences.
