Names like Sasha Cohen, Kurt Browning, Kristi Yamaguchi, Nancy Kerrigan and a host of other figure skaters will take over the Showare Center at the end of January. "Pandora, Unforgettable Moments of Love on Ice" will feature live music by Gladys Knight and Kenny G as well as performances by several Olympic and National Champion skaters.

"What makes it so different is that we have the live music here. Kenny G and Gladys Knight will be performing live while we skate so it really brings a whole new element," said Kimmie Meissner, 2007 World Champion.

Skaters around the country are celebrating National Skating Month and say that the sport of figure skating provides many life lessons.

"You learn stuff like not to fear going into jumps and you learn how to have courage," said Bettina Beverly, 2011 Northwest Pacific Coast Preliminary Ladies Silver medalist.

"It's really helped me know how to set goals and how to achieve them. The success that I've had in skating has given me the confidence to go out and do what I want," said Meissner.

The Showare Center presents "Pandora, Unforgettable Moments of Love" on Ice January, 26, 2012 at 7pm. Tickets range between $39.50 - $125. For more information visit www.showarecenter.com/events.
