MORTON, Wash. -- An earthquake with a 3.7 magnitude has shaken parts of southwestern Washington.
The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network said Friday the quake happened about 17 miles south of Morton near Mount St. Helens. It occurred a little after 2:30 p.m.
The depth of the quake was about 9 miles.
Later in the afternoon, two smaller quakes occurred within minutes of each other in the same general area. Those earthquakes were a magnitude 3.3 at 6:08 p.m. and 3.0 at 6:12 p.m.
