Wyman wins second term as secretary of state

Incumbent Kim Wyman won her second term as Washington secretary of state.

The Republican beat challenger Democrat Tina Podlodowski with 53% of the vote over her opponent's 47%.

Kim Wyman She was the only Republican elected to a statewide office in 2012. She has twice succeeded Sam Reed in her career, both as Thurston County auditor and again as secretary of state.

Podlodowski is a former member of the Seattle City Council. She was also a senior manager at Microsoft and was named Puget Sound Business Journal “Woman of Influence."
