SEATTLE – A new KING 5 News poll finds little change in Governor Chris Gregoire's dismal approval ratings from a similar poll done last month.

The poll conducted last weekend by SurveyUSA finds 35 percent of people approve of Gregoire's job performance. That's the same percentage as those polled in April.

Sixty-one percent disapprove of Gregoire. Last month it was 62 percent.

SurveyUSA polled 600 Washington adults for this poll.

I will be glad when this terrible governor is out of office. I am not voting for a single incumbent when elections come around. They have all shown themselves to be incompetent. I can't understand Jackwong's and think's support for this extremely lousy governor.

It would only be about 8% if the Democrats would quit polling the soup line.

Too many liberals brain washed by the state and fed gov message. Obama and gregoire and the seattle city counsel need to be held responsible for the state our local and federal gov is in. Always a reason to tax the people, infringe on the laws that we have had for years, and give people an excuse to cry and whine till they get there way. Glad we are giving the mexican president a personal chance to chat with our congress. Gotta love that. Its all about political correctness. Maybe they can defeat or hide what the vast mojority of the americans are saying....try to appease us some how with false promises. NO MORE! Hold Gregiore, The Counsel, and the president responsible....Vote them into submission in Nov. and write your senators!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is easy to keep the numbers steady. Just poll the same people who thought she was doing a good job last month. And raise taxes on major employers to raise money to spend. That way they will leave this state faster and help the unemployment level go higher. Either that or raise prices on us to replace the money they no longer have.

I was wondering how it was that high - until I remembered rossi won every recount in the election excpt the one she won then she demanded all recounts stopped and was declared the winner - then they found hundreds of uncounted rossi votes. so she was NOT elected - rossi was - and she only won by a phony recount when they hid some rossi votes......................... of course the poll could have counted jackwong's opinion for each of his KING IDs to get it up to 35% too.

JEEZ! I have to eat dinner in a little bit. After seeing that picture of ol' Leatherface, I think my appetite is ruined. Nice to see the class warfare folks out though (jackwong & think). You'd think they could find a new playbook that works though.

@think: Amen brotha! We can't blame Gov. Gregoire or President Obama for anything they are experiencing now. It's like getting mad at the mechanic that is trying to fix your broken car. What we really need is to create more jobs with more revenue-raising policies that taxes major corporations. All I can say is, Gov. Gregoire saved a lot of jobs around where I am at. Else, my neighbors would be getting foreclosed and making house values drop in my neighborhood! Supporters of Gov. Gregoire need to get the message out that it is not the progressive's fault for Bush/Cheney policies. The mis-informed tea-party racists are spewing their poisonuous message day and night against us... we must fight back!

This whole scenario really isn't fair. She inherted an economic disastser in the form of Dick Cheney's eight-year agenda, I mean George Bush, sorry. Massive tax cuts for the wealthy, including wealthy corporations, massive costs to fight in two middle east locations and then the waelthy Wall Street cronies had their way with us and the housing/credit nightmare. Just because there isn't enough economic activty to generate sufficient revenue to pay for necessary services doesn't make her a bad leader. She's just tryin g to find a way through the mess without hurting any one group too much. Go after the Republican agenda (unless you make $1,000,000 or more a year). Their blocking Wall Street reform and oil company liability caps being lifted as we speak. Is that looking after you and me?

She's got a tough job, and is doing well given the general economy. Unemployment is a full half percent lower than the national average and business is slowly starting to regain its strength. Given how bad things have been, I'd say that 35% approval is the new 60% approval.

I guess its good news for Gregoire that her rating hasn't plummeted even farther.
