Election officials in Okanogan County are preparing for the first recount in Washington State since the 2004 Governor's race.

The county certified the County Commission election yesterday with two-term incumbent Commissioner Bud   Hofer trailing challenger Ray Campbell by a mere 10 votes.

Election officials will recount the county's more than 17,000 ballots by hand.
