ISSAQUAH, Wash. - Animal control officers are trying to find the person who abandoned two neglected horses near North Bend.
The horses were spotted Thursday morning on a forest service road. No one knows how long they had been roaming around, but they are underfed.
They were then brought to a farm near Issaquah.
Gretchen McCallum with the Washington State Animal Response Team said, "They couldn't have gotten there by themselves. The road is very remote. They were taken up there deliberately and dumped."
The horses' hooves are extremely worn down which is another sign of neglect. They are now being cared for at a nearby farm.
