The pets at the Regional Animal Services of King County have some new toys and grooming tools, thanks to two 11-year-old girls who came up with a sweet way to help.

Ari and Shelby decided to make some tasty goodies and hold a bake sale in their neighborhood to raise money for the homeless animals. Their ‘Paws of Love’ bake sale ended up raising $75 to spend on items that are on the Kent shelter’s wishlist.

The Tukwila PetSmart gave Ari and Shelby a discount to purchase everything from dog and cat collars to tennis balls and grooming tools.

The girls donated the items to Regional Animal Services on August 23, where they are already being put to good use.
