PORTLAND - Obie the Dachshund, who became famous because he was morbidly obese and could barely move, has lost 42 pounds and can now run and play.
He was 77 pounds in August, by February he had lost 37 pounds. His website says he will be having surgery soon to remove all of that extra skin.
The story of Obie received national attention in August when the dog’s owners in Puyallup relinquished him.
