A Washington state geologist says the volume of the Oso landslide was 6-7 million cubic yards.

Seven million cubic yards is enough to cover 547 football fields, including end zones, six feet deep. It is eight times the amount of dirt and muck being dug out by Bertha for the tunnel under downtown Seattle. It would fill Boeing's Everett plant, the world's largest building, almost half way.
