SEATTLE – A leader of the Westboro Baptist Church, known for its controversial protests at funerals of U.S. soldiers, the victims of the Arizona shootings and others, says the group plans to protest at the funeral of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
Ironically, the announcement was made in a tweet sent out on an iPhone, arguably Jobs’ greatest contribution to the technology world.
Take a look at the tweet from Margie J. Phelps for yourself. You'll see at the bottom of the message it says "via Twitter for iPhone"
Phelps condemned Jobs, saying he “spent his days teaching sin.”
When tech websites noticed and called out Phelps for tweeting from an iPhone, she responded, “Rebels mad cuz I used iPhone to tell you Steve Jobs is in hell.God created iPhone for that purpose!”
Jobs died Wednesday after years of battling health problems. He was 56.
