55.7% of Washington state voters in the 2012 election approved legalizing marijuana. That’s 1,724,209 votes. Nineteen of Washington’s 39 counties voted in favor of the measure. It received the most support in San Juan County, where 68.29 percent of voters said yes. The county with the strongest opposition was Garfield with 62.17 percent.
