Driver hits, seriously injures woman in Seattle

SEATTLE -- A woman was critically injured Tuesday after being struck by a driver on Northeast 65th Street and Roosevelt Way Northeast in Seattle. 

Medics transported the 58-year-old woman to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. 

Seattle police received reports around 10:45 AM that a driver of a van struck the woman. Police arrested the driver, a man in his 60s, at the scene after finding signs of impairment. 

An investigation is ongoing.
