University Village plans new stores, more parking

Seattle's University Village shopping center is looking to add more stores and parking.

Permits filed with the City of Seattle indicate plans for approximately 100,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and 915 parking spaces.

A portion of the existing structure would be demolished as part of the expansion.

Daily Journal of Commerce says most of the new construction will take place where there is now surface parking. You can read more about the preferred options on its website.

A Seattle design review meeting is scheduled for December 19 at 6:30 PM. It will be held at Good Shepherd Center, room 202.
