Thermal imaging video from a King County Sheriff's Office helicopter caught the action Friday night as Seattle Police captured two car theft suspects hiding in Washelli Cemetery

Police say officers on an Anti-Violence Emphasis patrol spotted a stolen SUV believed to be connected with a number of recent incidents throughout North Seattle.

The officers spotted the stolen vehicle at Aurora Ave North and North Northgate Way around 11 p.m. Police say the suspects, realizing they had been spotted, drove a short distance before jumping out of the moving SUV and ran away.

The officers were able to stop the run-away SUV and then chased the two suspects, who ran into the cemetery.

Additional officers quickly surrounded the cemetery. The King County Sheriffs Guardian 1 helicopter helped lead them to the hiding suspects and both were arrested.

A K-9 officer found a gun among the headstones. Officers found the gun to have been stolen and collected it as evidence.

Officers booked both suspects into King County Jail, the 18-year-old driver on investigation of auto theft and eluding, and the 19-year-old was booked on obstruction and a warrant.
