Superstructure of new ferry moved to Seattle

The top half of the ferry Suquamish is loaded onto a barge in Tacoma to be transported to Seattle.

The superstructure of Washington state's newest ferry is being moved from Tacoma to Seattle Wednesday.

The top-half of the Suquamish will be transported by barge from a fabrication facility near the Port of Tacoma and heading to a Harbor Island shipyard.

The 144-car ferry is expected to be completed next July.
