Seattle Parks: Snake spotted at Discovery Park not venomous

KING 5

Crews searched Discovery Park on Wednesday after someone reported seeing a venomous snake.

After searching, a Seattle Parks Department spokesperson said they concluded the snake was not a copperhead -- like first believed -- but instead a corn snake.

Corn snakes are not venomous.

The snake was spotted at the top of the sandy bluff in the park.
