Seattle police investigate 'suspicious circumstances' at East Precinct

Seattle Police closed roads near the East Precinct in Capitol Hill to investigate a suspicious package.

UPDATE: Seattle Police they have arrested a 44-year-old man in response to Sunday's suspicious luggage incident. He's been booked on a charge of "threat to bomb investigation."

Seattle Police closed streets in Capitol Hill Sunday afternoon due to “suspicious circumstances” at the East Precinct.

Pictures show a robot investigating a black luggage container in front of a police car outside the precinct at 1519 12th Avenue. Police do not know how the package got in front of the precinct. After investigating the luggage, they deemed it was not explosive.
