Man found shot, dead in Edmonds neighborhood

A spokesperson for the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office describes the investigation into a shooting in Edmonds.

EDMONDS, Wash. - A man with a gunshot wound was found dead in a car Monday night in an Edmonds residential neighborhood.

Several people called 911 just before 11 p.m. to report the sound of gunshots in the 15900 block of 56th Avenue West, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies found the man dead in a car on someone's property.

Deputies say they are interviewing possible witnesses and have not released any suspect description.

The sheriff's office describes the neighborhood as a primarily residential area. They said the property where the shooting happened "consists of an unusually large property for the area surrounded by several neighborhoods."
