SEATTLE, WASH. - One of South Lake Union's newest eateries, Bar Harbor, brings a taste of the East Coast to Seattle.
Owner Ben Hodgetts drew inspiration for the new restaurant from his home state of Maine. The featured menu item is the Lobster Roll, which has been so popular it's been selling out nearly every night since the restaurant opened. Among some of the other chef favorites are the Cheeseburger Tartare, New England Clam Chowder, Manilla Clam Dip, and homemade Whoopie Pies.
Hodgetts drew from his experience as Bartender and Wine Director at Matt's in the Market, to curate a selection of local craft brews, wines and cocktails. "Remember the Maine" is a specialty cocktail, which is a variation of a traditional Manhattan.
Bar Harbor is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m Monday through Friday, and from noon to close on Saturday. There's also deck outside that is open when the weather permits.
