The dataset below, created by the KING 5 Investigators, shows what different Washington state agencies paid on every public records lawsuit from 2006 to 2011. You can sort by date, amount, plaintiff, or defendant.

* The total number of claims does not reflect many dismissed cases filed against the DOC.

* The greatest amount (Amber Wright’s case of $649,000) has not been paid by the state yet. The Office of the Attorney General is appealing.

* Amounts left blank are cases that were dismissed.
