Insight into suspect in Bremerton girl's murder

Gabe Gaetta was arrested Saturday, in connection to the rape and murder of Jenise Wright. He has no prior criminal history and his arrest has stunned the community.

Gaeta was a neighbor and close friend of the Wright family and according to court documents, the first time FBI agents went to his home, the teen's parents told investigators he was too upset to talk or provide a voluntary DNA sample.

Authorities confirmed the 17-year-old suspect showed up a Friday prayer vigil for the little girl. He can be seen in a photo, wearing a red shirt, and holding a candle.

Court documents also say the area where Gaeta lived inside Steel Creek Mobile Home Park is located just two houses away from the wooded trail that leads to where the young girl's body was found

Gaeta's parents chose to stay silent as they left the courthouse Monday, after learning their son's bail had been set at $1 million.

Facebook photos, meanwhile, show a smiling young man who was a student and wrestler at Olympic High School.

My daughter went to school there for a couple years, said Rhonda Sorensen. She knew of him, she wasn t close friends with him, she knew he was a wrestler, knew exactly who he was when it started to go around on Facebook amongst the kids - that really brought it home for me.

Grief counselors will be at the elementary school where Jenise would have begun first grade next month, and the high schools.
