Auburn firefighter rescues wounded in Las Vegas shooting

Many lives were saved, in part, because so many firefighters, police officers, nurses and doctors were there on the ground as concert-goers. Dean McAuley was one of them, and works for the Auburn Based Valley Regional Fire Authority. In his words, he tell

Dean McAuley was one of many off-duty first responders from many states who were at the Las Vegas concert when the shooting broke out - and they went to work.

McAuley is a firefighter EMT with Valley Regional Fire Authority, which serves the communities of Auburn, Algona, and Pacific. 
  
In this narrative, he recounts how he helped save a 16-year-old girl we only know as Natalia. Once Natalia was delivered to the hospital, McAuley went back out to help more people at the hospital. Fortunately, Natalia survived. McAuley shares in his own words just how difficult that night of carnage was for everyone.
