SHORELINE, Wash. – It was a bizarre set of events in the Shoreline area this morning.

There are two potential crime scenes. The first is on NW 196th St. in Richmond Beach.

Shoreline Police say a woman driving a pickup truck ran into a rock retaining wall. Police say a man was thrown from the vehicle. He suffered serious head injuries; the woman was not injured.

When the medic unit arrived, the woman told them that she had set her house on fire.

The Shoreline Fire Dept. rushed to the home on 27th Ave. NW. There was no fire, but it appeared that somebody tried to set the home on fire.

The house is just a few blocks away from the scene of the crash. Police said they don't know if the two incidents are related.

"Don't know if it was a fight situation between the two of them or what was going on; we arent' sure yet," said Sgt. Dawn Grout of the Shoreline Police Dept.

Arson investigators were called to the scene.

Police say the woman was arrested for investigation of DUI.

Obviously high or drunk. Why else would she admit to trying to burn down her house. Sounds like a domestic dispute of some kind. Weird people out there.

Story says bizarre accident, I'm guessing they meant bizarre collision, dui and arson are crimes not accidents.
