OLYMPIA, Wash. – A woman has been arrested in the theft of 20 doses of swine flu vaccine from an Olympia hospice.

The Thurston County Sheriff's Office says the 37-year-old Ohio woman is a contractor for Providence Sound Home Care and Hospice at 3432 South Bay Road NE and had access to the area where the H1N1 vaccine was kept. She was booked on first-degree theft and released.

Detectives say the suspect had admitted to at least two people that she stole the vaccine. The suspect has not admitted to police that she committed the crime.

No vaccine has been recovered.

Not sure if you heard the new idea state rep Sam Hunt has but you should probably just let this lady go because were not tough on crime anymore. He wants to close prisons and get rid of probation which would let criminals out unsupervised. People like this that should be behind bars for breaking the laws and violating other peoples rights. Maybe we should cut him and use that money to lock this lady up.

She probably sold it on the black market. People are wanting this vaccine so bad that they are probably willing to pay several hundred $ for it. If they have not found the vaccine that she stole she most likely already sold it and they need to check her bank account. I'm not surprised that this has happened. People are so desperate for money right now they are willing to do anything.

Weird, why would you even want 20 does of swine flu vaccine. If she steals this, she isn't above taking patients medicine, and she appears to work with the vulnerable - Providence Sound Home Care and Hospice. Scary, and sad.
