MARYSVILLE, Wash. -- Gusty winds knocked out power to as many as 9,000 households in northwest Washington's Snohomish County and Camano Island.
Snohomish County Public Utility District spokesman Mike Thorne said that was the total at the peak of the windy weather Monday evening. Most of the outages were in east Marsyville and the Monroe area.
By 11 p.m., power had been restored to all but about 4,000 customers, and by early Tuesday power was restored to all but 500. Crews were working to restore power to those remaining customers.
