The owners of a bar that was a North Cascades favorite before it was set on fire last month say they are working to rebuild.
The Whistling Post Tavern in Skykomish burned down in April after burglars cut open an ATM for $3,300 in cash. No arrests have been made yet.
Owners Charlie Brown and Teddy Ryder said they are trying to work with insurance and architects to clean up and rebuild the bar.
'It's going to look the same, it's going to be the old Whistling Post," said Teddy with a smile.
Brown and Ryder hope to salvage some of the pieces of the bar to incorporate into the new building, such as bricks, doors and other pieces that are special to patrons.
The spot was popular among tourists and skiers headed up to Stevens Pass.
