Parts of Puget Sound may get wet snow Thursday night.  KING 5 Chief Meteorologist Jeff Renner says moisture is heading our way along with colder temperatures, and some areas could get snow.

"Another, wetter system moves inland overnight Thursday into Friday morning," said Renner. "Depending upon the timing of this system, the temperatures could remain cold enough for precipitation to begin as snow."

Renner says the areas most likely to get snow accumulations are the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas and Snohomish County northward, which could see a trace to 3 inches.

Some spotty snow or a rain/snow mix could fall from Everett southward, including the Seattle area, with likely accumulations limited to an inch or less.

However, warmer air moves will move inland and the snow will turn to rain by late Friday morning or afternoon. Enough rain should fall to melt all the snow remaining on the ground.

On Wednesday night, temperatures could fall enough for a mix of rain and snow, or wet snow, to fall on the foothills, especially above 700-800 feet.
