SEATTLE - The countdown to 2010 culminated in the Pacific Northwest with the Farmers Life New Year's at the Needle fireworks show on the Seattle landmark.

KING 5 News’ Allen Schauffler and Mimi Jung, Evening Magazine’s Jim Dever and KING 5 Chief Meteorologist Jeff Renner hosted the show - broadcast in high definition.

During the show, we found out why elevators create a challenge for the fourth-generation family whose business is booming. And we got the recipe for the signature dish at SkyCity, winner of the 2009 Restaurant of the Year award from the Washington Wine Commission.

Pyro Spectaculars and Space Needle crews installed several thousand fireworks for a fireworkd display to ring in the New Year.

I watched on TV and was disappointed. Last years fireworks display at the Space Needle was much better by far. Also, I was very annoyed by having a huge Farmer's Insurance plastered on the lower left corner of my screen. I know who sponsored the event. I didn't need to be reminded of it continuously.

OMG, I can't believe that they chose this Hawaiian song for Some where over the rainbow. I just stumbled upon him by accident a few months ago. Israel Kamakawiwo!

Farmer's Insurance is sponsoring the fireworks show! Awesome! Guess how they paid for it? by denying this woman's insurance claim (among others) from the tragedy that happened years ago from the road rage incident on Aurora: http://farmersinsurancegroupsucks.com/etheladams.htm

I wonder if they will show the whole show or just decide to cut it off in the middle of it like they did last year......dumbest decision EVER.....also emailed the news station and they didnt even respond.......typical media....never takes responsability!
