PRESTON, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol is investigating a one-car serious injury collision that occurred in the westbound lanes of I-90 in Preston Thursday evening.

Detectives are seeking any witnesses who observed a large tarp exit a vehicle, most likely a semi truck towing a flatbed trailer, to call Detective Stacy Moate at (425) 401-7746.

At 5:50 p.m. troopers responded to a one-car rollover collision in the median between the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-90 at mile post 22. Witnesses observed a grey 2007 Ford Focus traveling westbound I-90 in the center lane swerved to miss a large tarp that was in its lane of travel. The driver was unable to control the vehicle before it left the roadway and flipped onto its top.

The driver of the Ford Focus, a 37-year-old Snoqualmie resident, was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

Several passing motorists reported being hit from flying debris, however there were no injuries to any of the occupants.

Come on people, secure your load before you get on the road. You put lots of other peoples safety at risk when you dont.
