SEATTLE -- The Washington State Department of Transportation is investigating tolling errors that happened on the SR 520 bridge during last week, when snow and ice gripped the Puget Sound.
During that time, some Good to Go! customers may have been mistakenly charged the $0.25 cent pay-by-plate fee.
WSDOT's Peter Briglia said the error occured 18,000 times during the week of January 17 through the 25. It was not clear how many customers were affected.
The toll readers were corrected on the January 26.
Briglia said the charges were sporadic. Engineers found that the toll equipment's internal clock was not working properly. They are still investigating the cause.
WSDOT asks customers to check their accounts, and give WSDOT a week to fix the errors. If customers do not see the mistakes corrected after that, they should contact customer service:
