ADNA, Wash. -- For the first time in 83 years the Adna Pirates have a new place to play football.

Pirate Stadium cost about $1.6 million, but the Adna School District is only paying for $300,000 of that.
A $300,000 grant from TransAlta, a Lewis County coal plant, and donations from the community covered the rest of the costs.

"I've spent the last year of my life working out here," said Aaron Dunnagan, Adna's assistant football coach who has been coordinating volunteer crews.

Dunnagan, who graduated from Adna in 1996, told KING 5 News he feels like a proud father when he looks at the new stadium.
