A man pulled from the Stillaguamish River on Sunday afternoon after a raft overturned was pronounced dead at the scene, Snohomish County officials said.

Snohomish County officials say at about 2:26 p.m., several people called 911 to report two people, a male and a female, were in the Stillaguamish River near the 22400 block of SR 530.

Snohomish County Search and Rescue and divers from the Marine Services Unit responded, along with Fire District 25 personnel.

Both people were located and rescued from the river.  The female was transported by aid car.
