Two off-duty Seattle police officers have been arrested on suspicion of DUI.
A witness called police early Monday morning after seeing a woman driving a car with front-end damage and seeing the woman stop the car in the middle of the street to trade places with her male passenger.
Officers arrived to find the man and woman parked several feet from the curb. Both were processed for driving under the influence.
Investigators are still trying to determine what the pair hit that damaged the car.
Police spokesman Sgt. Sean Whitcomb said both officers have been administratively reassigned to home.
The case will be forwarded to the City Attorney's Office. Investigators are asking the City Attorney's Office to consider charges of DUI and Hit and Run for the female off-duty officer and DUI-Physical Control and Hit and Run for the male off-duty officer
