WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A 2-year-old girl died when she was hit by a truck that was backing out of a driveway.

The accident occurred at 4:15 p.m. in a Nooksack tribal housing development.

There were two adults and three children in the truck when it was backing out.

Apparently the driver had told some children playing in the driveway to move out of the way because they were leaving.

The accident remains under investigation. Alcohol or drugs were not a factor.

Oh, gee, I thought the victim was 5 year old, not 2. You see? I read numbers upside down due to the flaw in my eye sight. My bad. Rest in peace, little girl.

Well, the kid learned the importance of listening to adults, the hard way!

Telling kids to move out of the way is not enough. You have to make sure they are out of the way before moving. Too late for this toddler.
