Big changes are coming to Sea-Tac Airport starting Tuesday as three airline ticket counters shift to new locations. They will move about 1,000 feet north in the terminal.
American Airlines will move Tuesday morning followed by Frontier Airlines on Wedneday and JetBlue on Friday.
The moves are the first public steps to allign ticket counters with their proper baggage systems in order to transfer bags to new gate locations and allow pasengers to be closer to their gate, according to Sea-Tac officials.
Alaska Airlines along with Horizon will take over the north satellite entirely.
At least nine airlines, in total, will change locations. Gate moves will occur in May, when the reallignment is scheduled to be complete. Officials say the changes might be uncomfortable for awhile, but once all in place, the move will be worth it.
