ENUMCLAW, Wash. – An Enumclaw high school teacher is on paid leave pending an investigation.
An animal cruelty investigator with Pasado's Safe Haven said the teacher is accused of spaying and neutering live cats during class.
One student claims she witnessed this same teacher strangling a baby possum.
"I have a huge problem with it, don't think that's OK at all 'cause like the opossum thing was really bad and I told some people about it and it got a lot of people mad," said Rachel Davis. "I just don't really like what she does at all."
The superintendent of Enumclaw Schools confirms that a teacher is on paid leave but would not comment on the accusations of animal cruelty.
