Rex Reed, the incident commander leading the effort to contain and extinguish the 22,000-acre Taylor Bridge Fire in Kittitas County told area residents Wednesday that his teams are working hard to get people back to their homes.

But Reed said he's not going to take risks: "No one's going to die on my watch," Reed said, before noting the name of a Cle Elum man who died fighting a wildfire in 2001.
